BALDOZA COMPLETES SWEEP IN WEBSTER, TX

    Webster, Tx -- Mike Baldoza of Austin, TX has a legendary career of winning tournaments and completing a sweep on a weekend never gets old. Webster, TX was again the site for the Texas Qualifying tournament and the 18 hole lead was held by long time Houston, TX  pro Brice Bergesen. Baldoza squeezed into the top spot after 2 rounds at 58 along with Don Parker of Houston, TX and Danny Tatum of De Ridder, LA was just back at 59. A third consecutive round of 29 put Baldoza into an 18 hole playoff with Don Parker of Houston, TX. Baldoza emerged victorious in the playoff to secure his second win in as many days.  He won the Medal spot in the Texas State Championship. Match Play spots were won by Don Parker, Byron Kirby, and Jeff Smith of Dallas, TX.

KENNY BECK NETS 2 SHOT WIN IN WEBSTER, TX

Kenny Beck of nearby Katy, TX battled his way around the Webster, TX course for a Sunday win in Webster, TX over Adam Sahmel of Huffman, TX and Mickey DeLucca of Baton rouge, LA. There was a 4 way tie after 18 holes at 30 by Beck, Ken Stanfill of Waco, TX, Dwain Willett from Pasadena, TX, and Mike Huckaby of Arlington, TX. Dwain Willett was in the top spot after 36 holes at 61 with Beck one back, and at 63 were Sahmel, Stanfill, and Huckaby. A final round 30 put Beck in the winners circle. He captured the Medal spot and the Match spots went to Sahmel, Dave Blalock, and Trevor Lewin.
